ATA Black Belt Academy Instructors & Staff
 Philip Hayes, 5th Degree, Chief InstructorPhilip Hayes began his martial arts training in January of 1993 under the instruction of Master Chick Mathis. After earning his black belt in December of 1994, he assisted with instruction in Montgomery, AL until he graduated high school. Mr. Hayes then completed his certified instructor training in 1996 before moving to Mobile, AL to attend the University of South Alabama. In August of 1998, he opened a martial arts club which has grown into what is now the ATA Black Belt Academy. Mr. Hayes is currently a 5th Degree Black Belt and holds numerous specialty certifications in different areas of martial arts training which include many different weapons, ground fighting, pressure point control tactics, sexual harassment assault and rape prevention, defensive tactics and more. Over 150 students have obtained the rank of black belt under the instruction of Mr. Hayes since he started in Mobile. He continues to teach leadership and black belt qualities at Mobile’s ATA Black Belt Academy, which is ranked in the top 5% of over 1000 ATA Academies, worldwide! |
 Nancy Hayes, 2nd Degree, Office Manager Lvl 1 Certified Instructor Nancy Hayes began her martial arts training in 2002 under the instruction of Philip Hayes. She is currently a 2nd Degree Black Belt and a Level 1 Certified Instructor. Mrs. Hayes is responsible for many of the behind the scene activities as the Office Manger and she also responsible for training the academy’s program directors. |
 Alisha Davis, 3rd Degree, Level 3 Certified Instructor, Floor ManagerAlisha Davis began her martial arts training in 2004 under the instruction of Philip Hayes. She is currently a 3rd Degree Black Belt and a Level 3 Certified Instructor. Ms. Davis holds the position of Floor Manager at Mobile’s ATA Black Belt Academy and is responsible for making sure that each student is continuing to grow mentally and physically as a martial artist. She is also an avid tournament competitor as she earned the distinguished title of Forms World Champion in 2007, by competing against the World’s top female competitors in her age group. Ms. Davis is currently ranked in the top 10 this tournament season as well! |
 Cameron White: 4th Degree, Level 3 Certified InstructorCameron White began his martial arts training in 2000 under the instruction of Philip Hayes. He is currently a 4th Degree Black Belt, Level 3 Certified Instructor, and is certified through ATA’s Protech Division in Ground Fighting and Mixed Martial Arts. Mr. White is also responsible for many of our external community programs. |
